This is about my children and I . A round the age of 3 I notice my daughter was a little bit different from most kids. As she got older the strange behaviors got worse and then she began to see stuff I could not see. I talked to her doctor and we started a search to find out what was going on with her. I started taken her to Sabine Valley Center her in town they inform me she had bi-polar. right off this worried me because I have this as well and it cause me great deal of pain as a teenager because of my actions and behavior and even into my adult years. I began feeling at foult for her having this .Guilt set in and I became so depressed I had to seek treatment myself.
This all took place when she was 7 then at the age of 8 she tryed to kill her self she down a whole bottle of her pills I walked in on her and stuck my finger down her thought to push thoose pill out. I called dr. browns office and took her down to talk to him the next day. I watcher her the whole night making sure she was ok it scared me so much I could not even understand how a child could know about killing them self more less want too. Again guilt set in to me as I put her in a hosptil to get the help she needed 1 week when by and she was able to come home . She is 10 now about to be 11 she still on medication and we see her Doctor once amonth and her other doctor once amonth . we go to Therapy once a week . She still has her manic epicoids and some times she will hurt herself or lash out at her 3 yearold brother or me or other family and even her best friend ( who I have to say is a very strong little girl to deal with my daughter )
She just say she getting sick again) she see it before I do . I myself take my medication right now I am out untell This program I sign up for comes throw. We work really hard to fight this crazy up and down illness. I wish there was a cure for it . My son who is 3 goes with us to the doctor and they said he may have bi-polar or ADHD ,
