In the year 2002 I was involved in an industrial accident. I was in an underground waste water lift station when the top of one of the valved burst. I was directly above the valve when this happened. I ingested raw waste water and almost drowned. Two months later I began having petite mal seizures, by January 2003 they escalated into gran mals. One month later, February 2003, I had five bypass heart surgery. I lost my job, home, insurance, and the privilege to drive. I suffer with seizure disorder, epilepsy, ptsd, claustrophobia, and heart disease. I have my medicare part D with Wellcare. I found out this week that I have a gap in my coverage with Wellcare of $4000.00 before they start helping me with my prescriptions. My wife and I live on a small disability check each month, which is gone very quickly. My wife cannot work as she is my care giver. I need to find some program that can help me with my co-pays on my meds. One has gone up from $7.00 to $61.00, and this is my seizure med Keppra. I am at the end of my rope, I can't take anymore of this jerking my chain. Can someone tell me what I can do?
