I was driving home from work and not feeling that well. I noticed that I was drowsy. I thought it would pass, but before I knew it I woke up a breif second to see myself driving in the grass at what seemed like at least 60 mph. After that, I awoke to a bumpy ambulance ride, the smell of burnt rubber, and pain everywhere. I spent the next two weeks in a trauma ICU in and out of consciousness. I had learned that I had suffered a cervical (neck) fracture at C1 and C2 as well as ripping the internal layers of my right carotid artery. No surgical intervention was required and it was just a matter of healing. I heard all around me that I was lucky to have survived. Apparently, I hit a spped limit sign and flipped the car, which none of I remember. I knew then that God was not ready for me to come home and that I had some other purpose on this earth. I also realized life can vanish in front of you in a matter of seconds without warning. I found myself clinging to my loved ones and letting them know how much I appreciated their presence in my life. Sometimes it's the little things we forget, like saying I love you or you mean alot to me that we take for granted each day. It's the little things that make up the whole picture. So whatever God's plan may be for me I know that I have been given a second chance and not a day goes by that I don't embrace and cherish that. Story goes here...
