My name is Krystle . I'm 22 and live in Oklahoma. Here goes my story. I started working at a nursing home. I had never been happier at that time in my life. I've always loved taking care of people so it was the perfect job for me. After working there for about a year I started getting very severe leg, and back pain that ran all the way to my feet. I told my charge nurse and they just blew me off. I went to see my regular Doctor and he ordered a MRI and x-rays. It revealed a severe grade three herniation, and that I had Degenerative Disc Disease. He sent me to a Neurosurgeon and operated within a week. After waking up from my surgery I felt 10X worse then before my surgery.Within 7 days I was back in the hospital with him performing exploratory surgery. I had alot of infection from my first surgery. Iv'e had two failed back surgeries, been to several Pain managment specialist and just seen another surgeon who said it would be to risky and he didnt feel comfortable doing the surgery and that I should go back to the surgeon who messed me up the first two times. I havnt been able to work for a year and a half and am on disability for my back. I will not be released or be able to work until my surgery is done. They recomended implanting a nerve stimulator in my back to block the nerves. I'm only 22 years old and I live every single day in severe pain. I'm seeing a long term pain managment Doctor. I just want to be able to work and ride my horses and do the things a 22 year old mom should be able to do. I'll never be the same after two failed back surgeries. I honestlly wish I never would have had my back surgeries I feel so much worse now then before my surgeries. I guess God has a plan for us all. It's been very hard but it's only made me stronger and appreciate myself and others more.
