| I never knew that my life would turn out this way, but God has His plans so who am I to fly into His face of so to speak. I am young, but life threw me a curve ball when I found out that my daughter would born with spina bifida. Not only will she will not be able to walk, but will require alot of medical care for the rest of her life. They gave me an option, but I decided I would carry my child because I beleive in my heart that God has the final say. I am twenty-one and carrying a child that will need my help twenty-fours hours a day, seven days a week. How will I manage I asked myself. I was in my 27 weeks of pregnancy when life through me another curve ball, I had her early due to preeclampsia and heart attack, but the bigger curse was I lost my vision after having my c-section. My retinas tore off because my blood pressure was through the roof and I was hooked up to all sorts of machines and IV therapy trying to get my blood pressure down. After seeing a few shadows out of my eyes, I was released from the hospital and my mom decided that she would fly in from our country to saty with me. My daughter father was unable to look after me, because he was going to school and working full time. When he got home it was just enough time for him to catch some sleep and be on the run again After a year my vision came back, but not as perfect as it was. The years ran by and I was now dating a new person, but this time, the Lord threw me another curve ball...He gave me the perfect man, but he was blind. He eas loving, caring, a minister and most of all he is a great guy. We got engaged and finally married. We had a son and life was perfect until we had a few curve balls thrown our way again, my daughetr got very sick and recovered, my son got sick and recovered, my mom passed away from uterine cancer, I had another heart attack two weeks before she died, went home to bury her, got home then the day I became a US Citizen, I lost my home and home based business to fire. Our family spent a year bouncing from one place to the next, we had some bad treatments along the way, but last year we moved back home into our own peace and quite, until another curve ball and another came our way again. My husband had a heart attack, my daughter got very sick two weeks after that with a blood infection that was so severe that she could die, my son ended up in the emergency room for uncontrollable coughs. After all was well. we decided to go on vacation, because for the passed eight years it has been one thing after another. I decided to throw a party for my godson and this young lady had a fight with her boyfriend, he took out his gun and busted her head in several places all becasue he could not find a piece of his clothes. After all that we came home and three days later I ended up into the hospital for wheezing and terrible pain to the point that had to give me morphine. So I say to myself, Lord..what next and should I do when lif e throws me another curve ball. I know God has His ways of making you look at life and maybe that His is way of saying look...I need you to focus on me so I can make your life better. I give you all these things, not to frustrate you, but to make you strong, so you can be and example for those who maight be going through the same problems. I did not get that until when I prayed and just ask Him to just let me bear whatever it is to bare. Many of my friends say that they could not do what I do and they admire me for what I have gone through and still I am here holding on to my family, trying to get back my business off the ground and most of all keep my health and sanity at that. Some times you look at life and say that you have a ot of problems, but we never stop to think about the next person who might have moore problems that you and I. We need to be grateful for what we have, what we get so we can hold on to what matters most and that is life. We are blessed beause we are unique in his sight. |
