Just wanted to share my most recent battle. Back in March, I was playing with my dog, twisted the wrong way, was in a little pain, not too bad, well the next morning, I woke up and could barely move or walk. Ended up in the ER and was told I had Sciatica-not fun. Gave me a couple of shots for pain, a prescription and told me to follow up with my doctor, which I did a week later. Now the pain comes and goes, not constant anymore, but today, I woke up again, in severe pain and was home alone. Finally got my daughter on the phone and she came right over and took me to the ER- where I learned something interesting. The docs at the ER can pretty much gauge how much pain you are in by your blood pressure- Blood pressure high- must be experiencing a lot of pain, that is what I was told-so again, a couple of shots of Dilautin (very strong pain med) and I still couldn't turn my neck, straighen my back, etc. so then they gave me two percocets and a script for Percocet and sent me on my way. I am still in a lot of pain and probably shouldn't be sitting at this computer, however, I couldn't sleep. Just wanted to say thank goodness for the prescription plan through this site, because it sure saved me some dollars on my much needed meds today!
