tttttttt I was previously taking classes on line, in December 2007 I started my extern-ship. My right hand began to swell, I paid it no mind due to the fact that I typing alot. My hand started to swell so bad that I had to go to the Urgent Care. They said to go and see my regular doctor within three days if it didn't improve. Then my right ankle, left knee, and my toes started to swell. I went straight to the hospital two days later, they took blood work, and xrays, the xrays came back okay, they said that they would call with the result of the blood work. My knee was full of Fluid that they drained it right then and there. Well, come to find out I had tested not only for RA, but Lyme disease. I went to see a Rheumatologist three days later because by me not having insurance I had to come up $240.,and with two kids and my husband the only one working that was not possible. I called ad explained my financial situation t he, and she wanted to see and put me on a payment plan. So now whenever I see her I pays $100 cash. It sometimes I have to take it from a bill but, I have to do what I have to do. Then the medicine is ridiculous. Here is a list of all the medicine I am currently taking: Methotrexate(six tablets once a week), Prednisone 20mg a day, now I am currently taking 15mg a day, Diclofenac(twice a day for pain), Folic acid(once a day),Plaquenil(one tablet twice a day), with this medicine I had to get some eye test done that cost $139 that I had to borrow because I had to have the test done within a time frame from starting this medicine. The only problem that I really have is that I buy the medicine and if it don't work then I discontinue it, so it's money lost.
