The loss of a child (3) (1) (1)
As I scroll through the stories of seeing that others who have lost a child. I lost one (a boy) in Dec 1984. I was 7.5 months along, life was a beautiful thing. I feel asleep one night waiting for my husband (ex) to come home from the bar again. When he saw me in the chair sleeping I woke up to him beating me. I tried to fight back for the sake of my child, but ended up being thrown out the back door and when I hit the ground I instantly went into labor. The neighbors just happen to hear this and called 911. I delivered that beautiful boy, the doctors said that he would not make it, they said that his heart and lungs were severely bruised and so was his brain. He passed away in my arms 12 hours later. There was nothing that could be done. My ex got away with murder, he told the police that I tripped and fell down the stairs, and that is where he found me.
I spent many years hating this man for this and could not talk to anyone about it. I had to heal on my own, its truly hard and I know what alot of the parents are going through, but take it from me, the first step you have to take is forgiving. The first rule that GOD will teach us is forgiveness and once you do that you will find that each day it will get easier and easier to deal with normal things in life. I still cry for my son, that is the only one that I had, that is normal. Just hold strong, and know that your child as well as mine are watching us all the time from heaven, and one day we will all be reunited.
