I was diagnosed in 1997 with MS during what turned out to be the most severe and damaging of all my relapses, ending up in a wheelchair within 4 months. Praise God that He got my attention, and with good doctors, motivation, and great meds, I no longer use any kind of assistive devices, even though I continue to have lesions. Last August, I started on Copaxone after over a year of worrying about the needle, the pain, the side effects. I am such a dork. Not only have there been NO side effects, and the stick is NOTHING, my massage therapist of over five years has determined that the spasticity of my muscles has so profoundly decreased that I am able to do moderate exercises and ride my bike again. Plus, when I accidentally ran out of the Copaxone in November, she was able to tell the difference in muscle tone with two days, without my telling her, and was also able to tell when the shots had resumed, also without my telling her. This stuff works! Praise God! I'm not cured, but I can teach, and mother, and garden, and lots of other cool things.
