My very good friend has diabetes and high blood pressure. He isn't even overweight, maybe even a little under! Anyway, he also has stomach problems and cirrhosis of the liver. A couple of months ago, he was vomitting so hard that he burst a blood vessel in his eye and ever since, all he sees is blood through that eye. He has been to an eye doctor twice and each time, the it has gotten a little worse, but the eye doctor just keeps telling him it will take time to heal and makes another appointment for the next month. He finally went to a medical doctor who told him until he gets his diabetes and blood pressure under control, his eye will never heal! I was so surprised that both his diabetes and blood pressure were way out of wack and the eye doctor never mentioned that could be why he is not seeing! We thought that everything was out of wack trying to recover from his illness. Just thought it was interesting how everything affects one another. We are going to start looking for an eye surgeon that may be able to help him now.
