For the last couple of weeks we have been made aware of this growing problem of Polygamy. There were 416 children taken out of one of these camps earlier this month. This investigation was set off by a phone call made by a 16 year old girl stating "her husband was beating". During this news headline, they said that when a husband is disciplining his wife, he will take the child (if there is one) have someone else take it and then abuse his wife. It is hard for me to understand why people actually want to live this life. In this bible, I have not come across anything in there that states this is the way of life and that I 50 year old man, shall be married to a 13 year old and have his children. There was an article in the paper this morning about a former member who tells his story. He is 76 yrs. old and has 46 kids ranging in age 14-42. How can someone do something like that and not consider it child abuse. Those are the words of judges, police, and others involved in prosecuting this case. I would like to know how all of this got started and why our government won't take control of this matter. They are all hyped up about finding people who are child predators, don't they realize that this fits into that category....Its the same as using the internet, or stalking a child.
What as citizens can we do to prevent these children from being hurt and their lives destroyed.... I pray to GOD about this each time that I see or hear about it.
We have several young people that are asking the Sunday School Teachers, " why is this happening." How do you answer that question.
