I am a 38yr old female who has lost her job of 17yrs. I have no health or life insurance at this point. I applied for help through my stat and they have told me I do not qualify because I am over 19yrs of age and am not blind or disabled. I was recently in the hospital in ICU because I can not afford the insulin that keeps my blood sugars under control. I also have asthma and high cholesterol. I found out I was diabetic in 1999 and have been on insulin since then. I have lost weight and been doing well, until now. I have been trying to get healthcare coverage on my own but it is all too high. I spoken with my doctors and they have advised me that they will not be able to help me with medicines nor can they see me without medical coverage. I need help. I ended up in the hospital because I was cutting my insulin in half, so what is going to happen to me when I run out at the end of this month. I need some answers. Story goes here...
