I have not had health coverage since i was 18. I never really knew how much I needed it until recently. After having my second son i was hit with post pardum depression. So i wen to the doctor for help. Not having insurance left me with a very few choices. I did not qualify for medicaid. So i went to a local free clinic. They tried to put me on medicine that was not good for me. And one that they got a kick back from. I dicides that i would just suck it up and pay out of pocket for the medicine and doctor visit. With my budget limited there was not alot of medicines he could put me on. the ones he did did not work. My husband got a new job. With this came insurance. I was excited. I was going to be able to try the new medicines on the market. they worked and worked well. After a month went by we found out that it was costing us $700.00 to have this insurance. So we had to drop it. I was worse off now because the medicine i was taking I could not just quit it. My medicines ran $700.00 a month. So i looked into private insurance. It is alot higher than i want to pay. But I have to do something.
