I had insurance once but when I got skin cancer and needed surgery they dropped me. No follow ups, no nothing. Now I have diabetes and my son has ADHD. Although I have medicaid, they claim we make too much money and we have to have $4000.00 a month in medical bills before they will help. Yes I said every month, 4 thousand dollars. We are poor. I don't understand how they came to this amount but they say we make 54 thousand a year and yet our W2's, taxes, and Social Security says we made only 35 thousand this year. Maybe their math is different then everyone elses. I don't go to the doctor; I can't afford to. My son must have his medicine to make it through school. He is in a special needs class. I have asked for help and done what I'm supposed to do but can find no one to help me. I know the diabetes is going to kill me. I don't even have money for a funeral. My oldest child has been to the doctor only once. I feel like they are being punished because I had the misfortune of getting cancer.
