Four years ago my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with a 3 month to a year sentence. We then took him to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where they performed a Whipple Procedure. It was a very long and hard road but we made it thru. He was getting clean check-ups after that and we were elated and so very happy....he was so sick.
After my husband started to recover from his long, hard road I got my first colonoscopy and they found a small cancerous polyp.......again....we were devasted as all our money was being paid out to medical bills. I was so scared. I had to go thru Chemotherapy and radiation myself. I've had two check-ups and they were "no cancer found".................we were overjoyed to say the least.
In December 0f 2007 my husbands check-up was bad....the cancer returned with a vengence and there was nothing they could do anymore. God, it was devasting!
I kept my husband at home with me and had hospice come in to see him 3 times a week. On Feb. 26, 2008, a few weeks ago, my husband passed away, at home with me by his side. It was so very sad, but he is now in peace and pain free.
I was left with no drug coverage. I am on disability because I have Fibromyalgia, tennis elbows, carpel tunnel, etc. I went to Wal-mart pharmacy to refill my 3 prescription and was shocked to hear them say "that will be $175.00. I cannot afford this and don't know where to turn now..................................I'm lost and in need of help.
Please see if there is help for me to pay for these drugs.
