My son was being treated for A.L.L. cancer. One of the prescriptions that he needed was clorihexidene mouthwash. This has mint drops so that you can stand the taste long enough for it to do its job. Since this is classed as a suspension, we had to pay the full price of $60/1 Liter.
Three years into his treatment, I went to a different drug store, didn't have time to go to reg. store. The new Druggist asked me why I was paying for this when all I had to do was buy the mint drops for $5 and add them myself.
A small bottle of mint drops are enough to flavor about 16 liters.
The cost of unflavored clorihexidene mouthwash was $5/ liter.
Why did it take three years and a different druggist to save me this experience that I could have used for my son in better ways?
