I started receiving chemotherapy and radiation for lung cancer. This was my second go around with cancer. My husband had to switch jobs because his old company closed down. His new job did not cover my insurance anymore, so we had to pay for it on our own. We could not afford prescription insurance. After the chemotherapy started, I had to go on oxygen because I could barely breathe when I got up to do anything. I also had to be on an inhaler for breathing troubles, an anti-anxiety medication due to my breathing problems, an anti-depressant due to my second bout with cancer, albuterol nebulizer treatments because of my breathing and I had to continue my cancer pill that I got from Canada because it was too expensive to buy at the pharmacy. My husband could barely afford to pay for all of my medicines on top of my oxygen and insurace premiums.
