I am 56 years old and recently had to relocate to Waco, TX. I have Type 1 diabetes and do not have the money to purchase my Glipizide, my test strips or lancets for my glucose monitoring devvice, or the Zocor that Dr. Lo prescribed in so Cal for my cholesterol. I lost my job with my company in 12/06, and also lost my insurance as the company wasn't large enough to qualify for COBRA. I worked a temp job for a few months in so Cal but it wasn't enough to live on and buy my meds. So, approximately a month ago I relocated to Waco for 2 reasons: 1) my parents are elderly and in poor health, and 2) it was too expensive to live in so Cal and so I moved to Waco to live with my parents to assist in their care. I am looking for employment in the area, but in the meantime, I don't have money to purchase myh meds.
