My Dad has been fighting Cancer for the last 4 years. It started with Colon Cancer. He had 16 inches of his intestines removed and a tumor in his colon removed as well. Then it went to his right lung. He went to U of M and had th e center lobe of his right lung removed and went through kemo and radiation. So when he went to get the results from his every so often tests that he has, it was no suprise to hear that it was back. He has another tumor on his lung, too close too his heart to take a biopsy, but through other tests they found out that it is indeed cancer again. He is scheduled for surgery in 2 weeks and I am scared to death that I am going to loose him. Why does this happen to the best people?? I don't understand. He is the IDEAL man! Perfect husband, best brother, awsome son, one of a kind uncle, patient grandpa and most of all he is my DAD. Well he is my step-dad, but he has raised me as his own for most of my life. Now on the other hand my real Father has had cancer of another kind for a very long time and has never gone through this much pain and has out lived any deadline the doctors thought he would, but he is not my Dad! I want my Dad to live forever. Why does this happen? He worked his whole life at Kellogg's and retired for this? He is also not only going through this, but in 4 weeks is the deadline for him to be out of his house. Yep that's right as if dealing with cancer wasn't enough he is also being forclosed on. How can this happen. I'ts not like we are talking about an alcoholic or an addict or something. He has no gambling habbit. And he is loosing everything he has ever worked for in his life. Because of doctor bills. And tha't not all. On top of all this my Mom broke her back a little over a year ago and he takes care of her like she is his angel. He Rubs her back and she never wants for anything. He does absolutly everything for her. He is my Mentor, my idol. I could only wish to have half of his heart for he l
