In about 2002 I was working in construction and I got sick with Tuberculosis. I was living with an elderly woman at the time and the housing condition was horrible. I had to use a bath in a filthy old bathroom which was cold because it was the middle of winter. I was in the hospital for 2 months. I went form 200 lbs. to 130 lbs. During this time nobody thought to elevate my legs or put a compression stocking on my legs. I developed a blood clot in my right leg. I then had to go back to the hospital for treatment with heparin on my leg. After I got out of the hospital they started me on warfarin. They had me costantly running to the doctor for bloodwork, and they could never get the right balance between warfarin and vitamin K. I began to collect disability.
