My Mom and her illnesses (3)
My name is Jody, I am writing this for my mother. My mother has been through a lot over the past year. She has diabetes for about 10 years now and she had it under control and never had to do the insulin shots. Just this year she was recently diagnosed with Kidney failure. Her kidneys were shutting down so fast that within a month of her diagnosis she was starting dialysis. Now her diabetes is getting worse, she has high blood pressure and it is all just happening so fast. She was found disabled and since she has been off work I think it has brought her self esteem down a lot. She is a very strong woman and it is hard to see her this way. Her medical ran out and she has medicare but not for prescriptions and it is very expensive. I am seeking help anywhere for her. I am afraid of them losing their home and everything they have worked so hard for. If anyone can help or provide suggestions I really appreciate it. My mother is only 57 and I don't want the effects of this disease to kill her. She has Grandkids to see graduate and get married. We really need her!! Thank you for allowing me to share my feelings and hopefully someone can help.
