About a year ago I had my first child. When I arrived at the hospital I was in labor and hooked up to an IV. As the labor progressed it became more and more active and finally the doctor showed up to give me drugs!! Finally I had my Epidural and things were ok, then about 30 minutes later I started feeling pain again, so the nurse came in to check the epi and it was kinked!! I was progressing so fast that they didn't really seem to care that I wasn't getting my epi, so the rest of the labor I could feel everything!! Well, when I started pushing my baby got stuck because the nurse had me start pushing at 9cm, and if anyone has ever had a baby you are not suppose to push until 10cm!! Not only did I start pushing early, but the baby was also sunny side up, so when the doctor arrived he had to use a vacuum extraction to get her out. Finally, after pushing for 2 hours she was out and here!! Although I went through a lot of pain, once that little girl was in my arms it all seemed worth it!!
