My daughter Brandi has Crohns Disease ,something she inherited from me, but hers is much worse. Last year(2006) she was in a coma for 22 days due to her bowel being resectioned after her disease caused her bowel to die. After the resectioning our family thought the worst was over but the worst was yet to come. My daughter was released from the hospital still vomiting , running a fever , and no bowel movement since surgery. For 8 days her bowels leaked into her abdomenal cavity, this was over looked by a radiologist who said there was only air in her abdomnal cavity, turns out it was feces, which on the 8th day she began to vomit up . Again there was an emergency surgery where her bowel was fixed her internal organs were flushed with over 5 gallons of saline solution but it wasn't enough within 2 days my baby girl (20 years old)had a temp of 105 her lungs were infected she had septic shock, and also peritinitis for 22 days me and my family sat by her side while she was in a coma , there were days they thought she may not live. But she did live and her prognosis is good. We believe her will to live and all our prayers are the reasons we still have her and she is marrying in September 08
