....it almost killed me. I'm young and I felt a "pop" in my stomach near my rib cage. I had been to breakfast with a friend and thought it was indigestion. Since the appendix had already ruptured I did not have the classic signs of appendicitis. 20 hours in the ER later I was told I had peritonitis and a l0 percent chance to live.

Obviously, I did. However, after talking to my best friend who is an ER physician in Louisiana, he said the ER should have done a digital exam and they would have detected the appendicitis.

It was a very long recovery and involved 2 more hospital stays.
Thankfully I had a great personal physician who cancelled his appointments and stayed with me the entire time.
