Bad Back (1) (2)
I have had chronic back pain for 12 years. It is believed that it was caused by repeated abuse by my first husband. After many MRI's and x-rays, the only things the doctors can come up with is 6 bulged discs and a Tarlov cyst which they claim is not doing anything to cause my pain. I have constant pain on my left shoulder, base of skull and neck with constant headaches/pain on the left side of my face along with pain (left side also) in my butt cheek that sometimes radiates to my knee. I've had 4 rounds of epidural injections, physical therapy, massage therapy, accupuncture, and anti-inflamatory drugs, none of which did anything to alleviate the pain. I'm now on daily doses of morphine and also take a muscle relaxer when I have to, but it's no way to live the rest of my life. Because I am young, my doctor is always reluctant to believe me since he cannot find a name for my pain. The only thing that has changed over the last 12 years is the severity of the pain has increased. I'm grateful to get some relief from the meds I have now, but I'd be even more grateful to not have to cloud my mind with all that garbage and live pain-free.
