A Little Miracle (3)
I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 16 and was having terrible abdominal pain that would bring me to the floor. I was having one ovarian cyst after another and was hurting all day everyday. My physician informed me that the chances of me conceiving a child were slim. As a young woman, I was devistated. A few years later, I was going in to have a laparoscopy and was being prepped for surgery when my surgeon walked in and said, "Congratulations!". I said, " For what?". He than informed me that i was pregnant and the surgery would have to wait. My partner and I were so excited. I had come to terms with the fact that I may never get the opportunity to bear a child. Then like an angel, i was granted the gift of motherhood. I have since had my daughter and after a few surgeries and new medications, my endometriosis is under control and I get to live every day pain free and I get to enjoy the company of my perfect baby girl.
