I am a single mother with two wonderful kids, and recently divorced. I just got moved back to my hometown. I have no insurance since the divorce and I am a Diabetic who takes insulin 4 times a day. I also have Thyroid problems. I just went to the doctor today and he pretty much didn't want to see me because I didn't have insurance. He did write out my prescriptions for me. I went to a local pharmacy to price the medicine without the insurance and for the two kinds of insulin, Test strips, and Thyroid medicine is almost $275. That doesn't include the needles I have to have to give myself insulin. What is a person supposed to do without the medication they need to live?
