I am a 42 year old mother of two, and grandmother of two, all girls. I was diagnosed with RSD a few months back. This disease is a form of MS, but only affects one part of the body. In my case it affects the left leg. This is the result of an on the job accident, which as most know they say that they are not liable for this. I use the assistance of a cane to help walk, I have to wear braces for stability, which are not helping like they use to. I receive a small check, very small check from workers comp each week, this hardly covers the expenses that I have, and I have recently applied for SSI. My parents are retired and have my sister and her three children living with them, so they are not financially able to help me, only emotionally. I have been looking for a doctor or clinic that will help me with this disease. There is no known cure for RSD, the only help that is out there is a regiment of pain meds, or a surgery to deaden the leg permanently. I have no where else to turn, and I am becoming desperate, and in dire need of assistance. If any one out there knows of where I can turn I would appreciate the help. I am trying so hard to overcome the obstacles of this disease for my children and grandchildren.
