I had a little boy on May 8, 2001 and he was 5lbs 3ozs. He swallowed fluid she they took him to the NICU to watch him. During his time their we almost lost him twice. Once they had c-pap turned up to high and it blew a lung. So they put him on a resperator. Then the other lung calapsed. They put him on osilator machine and said this is all they can do. After a week of him being on an osilator they were able to take him off. Finally a few days later we were able to bring him home.

A month later I had this weird feeling and thought I better check him. He was turning blue and was not breathing. 911 was called, he started breathing again. At the hospital they did not know what was wrong. But I knew something was wrong. We went through this several times and they thought he had whooping cough and that was it. But when they treated for it, it didn't go away. Finally one day they brought in a Respotory doctor. He wanted to scope his throat. When they did they found out that he has a floppy airway. When he would get a cold his treachea would calpase and he couldn't breath. Now he is on breathing treatments twice a day.

He's six now doing better. he flairs up every once in a while but not as bad as before. He is very active, I just hope everything keeps going well because he wants to play football.
