Forgive Those you Love (1)
My biological father walked out on my mother and I when I was just a baby. He found another woman and broke my mothers heart. All of my life I have sat around waiting for him to pick me up and it hurt really bad. Back in 2004, there was a huge argument within my family (on my dad;s side) his wife (my stepmom) was making rude comments about his mother and myself. she even made up a story that my now deceased grandfather molested his grandchildren which was not true, it hurt really bad that she could say such hurtful things to my fathers family and child. Since he did not stand up like a man and set his wife straight or even apologize for his wife's behavior or her apologizing, I was really hurt and I refused to talk to him over the past couple of years. Recently, I began thinking that what if something happened and I never got to see or talk to my father again. He finally called me after three years and we are now talking again. I do not think I could live with myself if something bad happened and I chose not to forgive the things from the past. God forgives each and everyone of us for our sins. It would be a sin if we did not forgive, so I followed my heart through God's word and I am welcoming my father back into my life.
