Moving back hom to my hometown should've been the least of my worries...but I quickly found that it really was the best thing I've ever done. Aside from the fact that I was diagnosed with clinical depression, I was in fact, homesick. My husband lost his job right after I had to quit mine. I loved my job. I was paid fairly well and it was secure. My depression got the best of me, and after a failed (thank goodness!) suicide attempt, my doctor told me to take an extended leave of absence. My son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, and the world was caving in on us all at once. We lost our home, so moving next door to my parents was the best choice for us.

My husband is a very hard worker...sometimes working 7 days a week and some evenings after his regular full time position, and I often wonder if things will ever get better. Family is all we have, and like the old adage- "You can't live on love alone", I'm hoping that with our continued hard work and patience, we will once again rise to the top.

Currently, we do not have health insurance or prescription coverage. Through the extra jobs my husband picks up, we are able to pay for our prescriptions 2 weeks at a time. I am now working again full time at a job I am very good at, and thankfully, really enjoy. My benefits won't start until February 2008.

Here is our story. The happy ending is yet to come.
