My name is Stephanie. I am 22 years old and was diagnosed with endometriosis about a year ago. My MD did a laperoscopy to confirm last year. They told me I shouldn't have any problems for at least a year, maybe more. Within 4 months I was right back to being in pain all the time. I have pain about every 2 weeks. It is so severe that I get nauseous. Sometimes I can't even get out of bed. It feels like someone lit my insides on fire and is trying to stab there way out of my abdomen with a pitchfork. Now my doctor is wanting to try another treatment lupron depot. It is a 6 month treatment with an injection once a month. It is very expensive but the outcome may be good. I may not have pain or endometriosis growth for years once the treatment is done. I guess I will find out if I can afford it!
