I was getting my annual checkup at the gynecologist one day when all of a sudden the doctor said that she felt two lumps. I was scared out of my mind! Afterall, I was only 19 at the time. I went to get the masses tested and I had to wait a week for the labs to come back. To my relief, the mass was benign; however, about 3 months later, it started bothering me with sharp pains. I had to have surgery to have the largest one removed. Now, I have to get the last one out in December. My advice would be no matter what the age, always do your self breast check and yearly mammogram.
