About 3 years ago, I woke up one morning with pains in my chest and both arms. It felt like an 800# gorilla sitting on my chest. I saw one doctor for a sinus infection and told him how I felt. ENT's don't usually check your heart or blood pressure, so he had no comment. I drove myself home and then lost vision in my left eye. I called my opthamologist and he said there was something else going on there and it wasn't my eye, so my husband drove me to ER. When they ran the enzyme test, they said I was having a heart attack. This was after 8:00 p.m. and had been having the pains for at least 12 hours. I was in ICU for 3 days after that and was given an angiogram. I have been on heart medications ever since.
