Yesterday I had a 10:00 A.M. doctor appointment about my depression. I was there by 9:50 A.M. and signed in. No one mentioned that the doctor was running late. I sat in the office waiting room until 12:00 noon before they called me name. Then a nurse led me back to a room. She took my blood pressure and it was very high. Do they find that strange? I was a nervous wreck before I came, and then sat in an office and heard horror stories by other patients who were also waiting about their conditions. After sitting there two hours in the outer waiting room, I sat another hour in the back before I saw the doctor. He then in turn said "I am running late, so if you need any scripts, you will have to call them in to your drugstore and let them fax it to me to re-new them!!!! By then I was too upset to talk about how the depression is affecting my life, and said thank you, paid my $20.00 co-pay and went home. What can be done about over-booking? And why do I have to pay $20.00 for a co-pay while I am on temp. disability, when my income is very little??? Does anyone else have this problem?
