(Columbia Daily Spectator) This week marks 2010 National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. One of the three goals of the week is to “reduc[e] the stigma surrounding eating disorders” by properly informing people that “eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses—not choices—and it’s important to recognize the pressures, attitudes and behaviors that shape the disorder.”
