I just started on this site and thought I would share a few things I have learned in the last few months about stomach ulcers. I have at least one that I know of and it hurts all the time...on the other hand, I have found a few "tricks" that seem to help with the pain and inflammation. Tums are ALWAYS a help, they help reduce the acid in the the stomach that is making the lining inflammed. Milk and/or vanilla ice cream are both helpers with soothing the acid...anything milk based, really, will help. Bread will help if eaten plain, no butter or anything on it. DEFINETELY stay away from orange juice (any kind of juice, really), pickles, tomatoes (or anything tomato based like spaghetti or pizza), anything overly acidic. If I find out more, I'll let you know!
