(Times Online) Consumers face many years of additional financial pain after the general election, a leading economic think-tank warned yesterday. Indicating that Britain was “very poorly placed” to enjoy economic recovery, the researchers working with the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) said that deep spending cuts would come irrespective of which party won at the polls.
