Hi my name is Kim, I have been obese for most of my life. With the help of my Christian friends back home in Wisconsin. They had started me on the slow road to recovery. I started in 2002 on a watch my own food intake diet. I have had lots of ups & downs along the way. I was 440 LBS. in 2002, I am now down to 311 LBS. and continuing to lose. Thanks to the government programs offered through the ticket to work programs. I am able to go to Vocational Rehabilitation. And was asked to go to a program called NewU. Since August I have lost almost 40LBS. The program is great.
They help me with vitamin supplements, and with vitamins and I receive shakes and protein drinks with the program. Otherwise I could not afford to do this on my own. I also am able to use the machines twice a week. The machine help you do exercises that I could not do. The people are very nice even when I cheat on my diet(which I know is wrong). I continue to ask God for strength to overcome my eating disorder and to become the person I am suppose to be. I thank everyone who has helped me. The Vineyard church in Milwaukee WI. And My Aunt and Uncle also my cousin. They have taken our family in when we would have been on the street.
I would also like to thank the government, the Vocational Rehabilitation people and NewU for giving me a chance.
