Each month I take as much of my check as I can and still be able to buy a little food and send a check to my local drug store. I have a drug plan, but the co-pays are high on most of my medicine. This is a small town drug store that allows me credit from one month until the next. I pay three hundred and still owe $1500.00! And with in two days as I make up my medicine, and call in what I need, I have charged $300.00 or even more. If this family owned drug store ever sells outr to someone else, there will be people like me, who will no be able to get their medicine. Companies do not want to help you oif you have any insurance. I am sick and on tempary disability this year. I do not draw much over $600.00 per month. Yet I am supposed to spend this year getting better so I can go back to work and not be absent. Why is there no help for the honest person who raised two children by herself and never asked the goverment for any money? I really need a program to give me a break on my medicine. It would feel so good to get almost caught up with my bill. I am scared each time I call in my meds that they are going to say I owe too much. All I want to do is go back to work next year, but I can't get well and built up from the Lupus if I can not afford the medicine or the theraphy the doctor prescribes. If you know of a program that will help me with me medicine bill, please let me know.
