So......I currently have health insurance but still cannot afford to pay my Rx co-pays....What a dilemma. I had surgery 10 months ago and tried to get HUMIRA prescribed to me. When my on line prescription company called me 5 months ago to tell me my prescription was ready to be shipped out they said "your co-pay will be $1200, how would you like to pay" well I won't tell you what I wanted to say. I had to decline getting on this medication and continued with the same ENTOCORT (that mind you I have been on for about 5 years and does not help me other than make me more tired) of course not taking the necessary pre-caution for my illness - I have become worst and no longer in remission. And now it's either get on REMICADE (which as I said , I cannot afford the co-pays) or now my Doctor has suggested to put me on a clinical trial study for ABADACEPT. Currently it is only FDA approved for Rheumatory arthritis. So to be a part of a trial is great for there study but my concern is they cannot make any guarantee on the later affects. Of course I am not the only one who shares that same exact concern. To make this decision though because I have no other affordable outlet is such a horrible place to be. My family does not agree for me to do this and has encouraged me to reach out and check all other options. Which brings me to finding this site. Maybe this will make it easier for me to decide which path I will choose.
