Throughout my life I seen my parents work their butt off just to provide the nessesary for us to live. However, when we got sick I saw my father feel helpless to help us. He simply didn't have enough money to buy us medicine. We would wait for long and sometimes endless hours outside a Salvation Army building just to see if we qualify for free medical assistance. Sometimes we did and sometimes we would have to turn around and walk back home after an eight hour wait. Now that I have my own family I have applied to many medical assistance program and have been turned down. I ,like my father,am a hard working family man that wants nothing but the best for my family.
