Well, I wrote my story before, and it must have gotten lost. I lost my job for getting hurt at work. I herniated myself while reaching and grabbing an ink bucket from off the shelf. I was sent to the clinic by my boss (he actually drove me there). The doctor diagnosed me and sent me back to work. I had a large bulge in my groin and it stuck out 3 inches, it was all red and swollen, and he sends me back to work. The Dr. and my boss had gone into the room 3 times before I was actually called in there. I thought they were buddies or something. Went to work the next day and the pain was too much, so I went to my Dr. and he immediately referred me to a surgeon and took me out of work. I had surgery for the hernia and was off work for about 7 weeks, and in the mean time I was denied my workers compensation, my union steward did nothing about it. I was told 52 days after this event that I would not receive benefits. Then I was released to go back to work and got back June 4, they sent me home and said to come back June 6, and they fired me! After 10 years. Took my insurance bennefits from me, my wife was planning her surgery, we couldn't get our prescriptions filled. Nothing!! and my union steward just sits back and does nothing after I paid union dues for 10 years. Now my wife needs a historectomy, plus she has many other health issues and cannot work. She is still waiting for her disability hearing. I am flat broke, I haven't gotten a pay check since April 16. I also have chronic pain issues as so does my wife, and cannot fill any prescriptions. One of her scripts are around $985.00 just for one. She needs 6 prescriptions, and I need two. What do I do??? We need help My mortgage is 3 months behind, I filed bankruptcy last Nov. I lost my car in an accident a few weeks ago. My whole life is turned upside down and she is getting sick from her withdrawls from not having her narcotics. What do I do?? I have been looking for a good job on a daily basis.
