My son developed grand mal seizures out of the blue on his 18th birthday. Even though he is not able to work or do much of anything because he still has seizures even while on meds, he keeps getting turned down for SS benefits. We don't know what else to do. All we want is for him to at least get Medicaid so it will help pay for his Dr appts, his tests and his meds. He hasn't been able to have any tests in almost 9 years now, and he can't afford to see a neurologist, so the Dr just keeps refilling his meds which we have to pay in cash. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks!
