I recently was prescribed Suboxone 8mg/2mg for a 2 year addiction to Vicodin. My prescription of Suboxone has been a life saver. However, the Suboxone cost 's me MUCH more than if I had just continued to stay on the Vicodin as I have no insurance. I did not qualify for the manufacturer's "assistance program" and I cannot find ANY discount or coupon's for Suboxone (while searching on the internet for hours including the drug company web site) This is frustrating as I am sure the drug company is making a fortune on Suboxone. I also take another medication (not for any addiction) that is expensive. With this other medication I signed up with the drug company/manufacturer and each month (usually after I fill out a questionnaire) they send me coupons that I can use to fill my prescription.... NOT SO for my Suboxone. I am very happy to be clean and sober. The last thing I want to do is go back to my addiction but I am worried I will because Vicodin is so much cheaper. I am hoping against hope that the "benefits" offered on this site will help me pay for my Suboxone and stay clean, sober, and happy to be so. I don't understand why a company would charge SO much for a medication when it could potentially send patients back to their addictive medication because it is cheaper. Does anyone know if there are other sites/resources available to help in paying for Suboxone out of pocket?
