My husband left me 2.5 years ago because I have a chronic illness. He works for the government, so his health insurance was free and mine wasn't very much $$ each month. When we got divorced, I took COBRA insurance which was 103% higher than what I was paying before. Because of the economy/housing market, I haven't made enough money to make ends meet or to pay for my insurance. Because I have several RX's to buy each month, I'm in a position now where I don't know what I'm going to do. I have no income, no insurance, therefore no ability to pay for my much-needed meds.
