I was a healthy active mother of three. Enjoying life. One day I started to get strange symptoms. It took eight months for the doctors to diagnose me with a rare disease called Myasthenia Gravis. Since this all started, life has been tough. I am unable to work and do a lot of things with the children. Although it has been tough on my family, they have stuck by me. I thank god for them everyday.

With god's and my family's help, life goes on. We appreciate each day we have together more. I still have many times when my disease kicks my butt and I end up in the hospital, the longest was for 62 days in 2006. I go once a week for blood cleansing, and I take about 32 pills a day. I have developed diabetes and all it's complications from the drugs. The steriods have turned me into an elephant, but my husband says he'd rather have me chubby than dead!

When my heath allows me, I do things with my family and donate time to the church. I find peace and happiness in these things.
It's what keeps me going.
