VA help? Not anymore. Clinton or Bushy Boy signed some papers that put me on the bottom of the list for any VA help. I wasn't wounded so my depression is not considered military related. I would actually have to try and commit suicide again to be able to get help from the VA and now that I know my daughter and that I need to help mom that is out of the question. I work one job spring and summer and another job fall and winter. So about the time I qualify for insurance at one the end of the season comes and I have to go to the other one and so on. So I have to foot the Doctor bills and the cost of my pills. I'll take my meds for about three or four months and then when I get to feeling better I drop them until I see that I'm getting depressed again. Ya, I know, a bit stupid. But the cost keeps going up and my wages stay the same. I can tell when I'm starting to get depressed and for a while I'll slap myself and tell myself , Hey you've been there and done that, now straighted up you don't want to do it again. That works for a while and finally I'll go see doc and get some more meds. This is probably not a good way of handling the situation but so far I am able to cope with it. It's really not something I'd suggest someone else to do. Any way, no, the VA is not helping anymore.
