I have been on antidepressants for the past 2 years and on cymbalta for the last year. 2 months ago I stopped taking it after weaning myself off for a couple weeks. As soon as I cut the dose I started to get brain zaps. They were like a nervous buzzing that started in my brain and radiated throughout my entire body, and they were accompanied by an accelerated heart rate and heart murmurs. It was just as much fun as it sounds. I also was extremely irritable and anxious, dizzy most of the time, and my entire body swelled. Imagine having PMS for 2 months straight. I'm glad that the symptoms of withdrawal have finally stopped, but I feel I should have been informed by the company of the potential side effects before I started the medication. I probably would have tried a different one first.

There is an online petition that will be active until February of 2008 which is addressed to Eli Lilly and urges them to make the potential Cymbalta withdrawal symptoms public knowledge.

I would appreciate if everyone could stop in and sign it at
