I had dug myself into such a deep hole that for the first 7 months the pills didn't do anything. Doc had me come back to the VA and asked if I would do electric shock treatments. I told her sure that I was unable to end it all maybe she'd screw up and do it for me. That didn't set to well. After the 4th treatment, had 8 treatments total, I started coming out of it. Talking and joking around. At this point the medication began to help me quite a lot. Sometimes the meds just don't do what they are suppose to do. In my case the molecules were so disarranged in my brain that it took the treatments to whip them back in line where they belonged so the meds could do their thing. I guess I'm telling you this to let you know sometimes you have to go a step further than Doctor, one on one, Meds and group therapy. This was caused mostly because of a little girl in Viet Nam and not knowing my one and only child. I have posted some poems in my journal about all of that, more to come someday. Not having friends or family to talk to this was the only way I was able to get it out of my head and off my chest. The poems reflect a man with a lot of pain in his life so don't expect anything fantastic or publishable. Longfellow I'm not. Y'all are welcome to read them if you want to.
